Maria Psarelli (Bronx Community College) - Long Time Behavior of the Maxwell-Klein-Gordon Fields - February 2, 2012

The system of Maxwell-Klein-Gordon equations represents the interaction of a massive scalar field with the electromagnetic field. It is a system of nonlinear wave equations and is described within the framework of classical gauge field theory. In the talk, I will focus on the time decay of the solutions of the system in the 4-dimensional Minkowski spacetime. To derive the decay of the fields, I will apply a method which is based on gauge invariant energy estimates and the geometric properties of the fields equations
